St. Ann Police Head concerned about the high number of road fatalities recorded in the parish, since the start of the year

Head of the St. Ann Police, Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell has expressed concern, about the high number of road fatalities recorded in the parish, since the start of the year.

Some 13 persons have been killed in crashes in the parish since January 1.

Speaking at the general monthly meeting of the St. Ann Municipal Corporation on Thursday (March 10), SSP Powell lamented that too many persons are dying on the roads.

He also raised concern about the number of stray animals on the roadways.

He warned that owners of the animals could be prosecuted.
