Opposition leader Mark Golding, has stated that the next People’s National Party, (PNP) government, will establish a social housing programme, aimed at improving the living conditions of inner-city and rural residents.

The programme, dubbed ‘ Operation Shelter‘, will assist in purchasing materials.

Mr Golding said the programme will also incentivise developers, to create more houses for low income earners.

Mr Golding highlighted, that by upgrading these communities, crime and violence is expected to decrease.
