An employee of the Kingston Container Terminal (KCT) remains hospitalized in serious, but stable condition, after he was injured in an accident at the Port, yesterday (March 17).

Videos of the accident have been circulating on social media.

It has been reported that the man was operating a straddle carrier when it overturned, and the 50-foot tall equipment fell, with the driver still inside the top cabin.

The injured man was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The Kingston Freeport Terminal Limited, Managers of the KCT, are expected to issue a statement today on the incident.
