The crab vendors in the vicinity of Heroes Circle in Kingston, will soon have a brand new market.

Mayor of Kingston Delroy Williams says the project which is being done in association with Wray and Nephew, is expected to be completed in the next three weeks.

Upon completion, he says the market is expected to improve business for the crab vendors.

He notes that the construction of the new market, has been in the pipeline for the past two years and has the full support of the vendors, who will be temporarily relocated to a nearby facility.

And Mayor Williams says the building has nothing to do with the upcoming visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Duke and Duchess are to visit the island tomorrow (March 22).

Mayor Williams says the timing was solely based on the full approval and readiness of all the parties involved.
