William Knibb High Student charged with stabbing murder of school mate

The 16-year-old William Knibb High student who is accused of stabbing his schoolmate to death, yesterday (March 21), has been charged.

The teen who has not been identified as he is a minor, has been charged with the murder of 16-year-old Khamal Hall.

Reports are that at about 11 am yesterday, a dispute developed between the two boys and hall was stabbed in the chest with a knife.

He was pronounced dead at hospital, while the accused was taken into police custody.

Head of the Trelawny Police, Superintendent Carlos Russell told Irie Fm News that the accused was charged today (March 22), and is to appear in court on Friday.

Superintendent Russell noted that the police visited the families of both students today.

Meantime, he said several weapons were seized from students during searches conducted at the school, today.
