The Education Ministry is to host a press briefing tomorrow (March 25), to address safety in schools.

This after two students were stabbed, one of them fatally at the William Knibb High School in Trelawny and the other at the Excelsior High School in Kingston, earlier this week.

Khamal Hall the student who was stabbed at the William Knibb high school died, while the student who was wounded at the Excelsior High was hospitalised in serious condition.

A number of weapons have also been confiscated from students since the full resumption of face-to-face classes.

Tomorrow’s press briefing is expected to begin at 11am.
