Some principals optimistic following today’s sitting of the PEP Ability exam

Todays (March 24) sitting of the Primary Exit Profile, PEP, Ability exam appears to have been a good one as some schools are reporting that students felt it was manageable.

The students are said to be optimistic about their performance and eventual results.

There had been concern about the readiness of the students for the exam, considering the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and learning loss.

Principal of the Duckenfield Primary School in St. Thomas, Christopher Sinclair told Irie Fm News that the exam went smoothly.

Mr. Sinclair said teachers are also optimistic about the students performance.

Meantime, Principal of the Red Hills Primary School in Kingston, Paul Messam said while some students expressed concern about a few questions, he is confident that they did well.

He commended teachers for doing their best to get the students ready for the exam.
