The Jamaica Teachers’ Association, J-T-A says some of its teachers have not received retroactive salaries owed to them for the last financial year.

JTA President Winston Smith says the teachers are not seeing the retroactive monies displayed on their March salaries, despite a promise from government that they would be paid by the end of this month.

He called on teachers to remain calm while noting that a meeting is being scheduled to address the issue.
