Opposition Leader Mark Golding says it was a poor decision on the Government’s part to ignore his suggestion to put a cap on the tax on fuel.
The suggestion was among several made by the Opposition to provide relief to citizens, amid rising inflation and fuel prices.
Speaking at the People’s National Party’s National Executive Council Conference at the Mannings School in Westmoreland yesterday (March 27), Mr. Golding said the measure would not have a negative impact on the Government revenue.
He said he is hopeful that the Government will revisit its decision.
