by March 30th, 2022

The St. Andrew south police have identified several suspects and are following strong leads into the shooting of 5 people, 2 of them fatally, along McKinley Crescent, yesterday.

Reggae musician Donald Shaw, more popularly known as Tabby Diamond, of the legendary reggae band Mighty Diamonds, is one of the 2 killed.

The other man has been identified as Owen Beckford.

2 of the 3 wounded persons have been treated at hospital and released.

The other wounded man remains hospitalised in serious condition. He is said to be undergoing emergency surgery.

Head of the St. Andrew south police division, Superintendent Kirk Ricketts told Irie FM News that investigators theorise that the shooting is gang related.

Superintendent Ricketts said it’s also theorized that Tabby Diamond may have been the target, because his son is a known violence producer in the area.

He said the police have beefed up their presence in the community.

Efforts are also being made to prevent any reprisal attack.
