American Reggae band, SOJA has won the 2022 Grammy Award, for Best Reggae Album.

The eight-member band which was formed in 1997 in Virginia, won the award with their album, Beauty in the Silence.

The other nominees were Etana, Gramps Morgan, Sean Paul, Jesse Royal and Spice.

Meanwhile, several social media users have criticized SOJA‘s win.

They say it is unacceptable, that the only non-Jamaican nominee won the award.

Some have called it an insult to Reggae music.
