Several truckers operating at the main container terminal in Kingston, are restive.

The truckers say they are at their breaking point, with regards to the continued slow truck turnaround time being experienced at the terminal.

General Manager of the Port Trailer Haulage Association, Ricardo Valentine told IRIE FM news that the tractor/trailer owners are upset at the seemingly never-improving situation at the container facility.

He said they are constantly spending more time than is reasonable to deliver or pick up a container, and the issue is now unbearable.

Mr. Valentine said the truckers are calling on the port operators, and relevant State Agencies to pre-scan containers before they come to take delivery, among other things to reduce wait time.

He said a letter was written to the terminal operators yesterday (April 25).
