Executive members of the police federation are providing support to the relatives of a police officer, who was injured in a motor vehicle accident, in Clarendon, on Tuesday.

The cop has been hospitalised, in critical condition.

The crash resulted in the deaths of 2 persons, a man and a woman.

Dead are 33 year old Heather Grant of Christiana Manchester and Nigel Ambersly.

Reports are that the police man was driving a motor vehicle, with 2 passengers on board, towards May Pen.

Further reports are that another vehicle being driven in the opposite direction, overtook a line of traffic and collided with the policeman’s car.

The injured persons from both vehicles were taken to hospital, where Grant and Ambersly were pronounced dead, and the others admitted for treatment.
