Senior Advisor and Strategist in the Tourism Ministry, Delano Seiveright says Jamaica stands to benefit from a recent announcement that the United States of America, is out of its Covid-19 pandemic phase.

Chief Medical Advisor, Anthony Fauci, said during a recent interview, that the United States’ Covid-19 level, is low.

Mr. Seiveright said this is good news for Jamaica.

He noted the recent announcement by the World Health Organization that the global Covid death toll, fell to its lowest level last week.

The WHO however expressed concern that several countries have slowed down their testing efforts, which makes it difficult to track the virus’ impact and to plan the next steps.

In light of this concern, Mr. Seiveright is urging more Jamaicans to get the vaccine.
