Two persons were shot and killed, and two others wounded, in separate incidents, along St. Johns Road, in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, between last night (May 1) and this morning (May 2).

Dead are 36-year-old Shaunette White, and 60-year-old Anthony Davis, of the community.

White was killed in the latest incident at about 2 this morning.

Reports are that White and another person were at home, when they heard shouts at the door.

They went to check, and were ambushed by gunmen who fired several shots at them.

The wounded persons were taken to hospital, where white was pronounced dead and the other person admitted in stable condition.

Meantime, Davis was killed at about 9:15 p.m.

It’s reported that Davis and another man were at home when they were pounced upon by gunmen, who opened fire at them.

The police were alerted and the wounded men were taken to hospital, where Davis was pronounced dead, and the other man was admitted for treatment.
