A pregnant woman was killed, following a motor vehicle crash along the Winston Jones Highway in Manchester last night (May 8).

Dead is 22-year-old Torian Elliott of Ritches District in Clarendon.

Reports are that at about 7:45 pm, Elliott was a passenger in a Toyota Crown motor car travelling towards Mandeville, when the vehicle was hit by another car. The impact caused the Crown to crash into an embankment.

Police say the other vehicle did not stop.

Elliott and two men who were travelling in the Crown were taken to hospital where she died while undergoing treatment. The police say medical experts have not given details regarding Elliot’s unborn child.

The injured men were treated and are said to be in stable condition.
