Police officers who become ill or are hurt while on the job, will now be able to access special medical attention at health facilities.

This after a Memorandum of Understanding, MOU was signed last week, between the Ministries of Health and National Security.

The revelation was made by National Security Minister, Dr. Horace Chang, while addressing the Police Federation Conference, yesterday (May 17).

Dr. Chang noted that the issue of the health care of police officers has been a long standing one, so he sought to implement a system that makes access to health care more efficient.
