Jamaica continues to see an increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations

The country continues to see an increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations.

 

This, as 13 more people have been hospitalized with the virus.

 

The hospital count now stands at 120.

 

23 of them are moderately ill, 4 severely ill and 3 critically ill.

 

Meantime, Jamaica recorded three more COVID-19 related deaths, pushing the death tally to 3,042.

 

The Health and Wellness Ministry reports that 4 other deaths were under investigation.

 

Meanwhile, 131 more people tested positive for the virus, pushing the case count to 125,462.

 

St. James recorded the highest number of cases with 49 and Kingston and St. Andrew followed with 36.

 

The positivity rate is 28.3%.

 

There are 156 recoveries, pushing the total to 86,444.
