Dean Fraser and Ernie Ranglin’s ‘Two Colors’ available worldwide

Jamaican music giants, Ernie Ranglin and Dean Fraser‘s collaborative album titled “Two Colors: Dean Fraser & Ernie Ranglin” was officially released today, Friday, May 27.

The 12 track project, which features Ernie Ranglin’s patented guitar licks complemented by Dean Fraser’s distinctive saxophone tones, took one year to complete, and was the idea of Tad Dawkins Senior, principal of Tad’s International Record, distributors of the album.

Music News understands that the production started in early 2021 during the pandemic. Dean Fraser who oversaw production of the project, recorded his parts in Kingston while Ernie Ranglin laid his tracks in Ocho Rios.

In 2021, Ranglin who is regarded as the Godfather of Jamaican music, was awarded the Order of Jamaica, the country’s fifth-highest honour. He also received an Order of Distinction in 1973.

While Dean Fraser was awarded the Order of Distinction, Jamaica’s sixth-highest honour for his contribution to the music industry.

Two Colors: Dean Fraser & Ernie Ranglin is currently available on all digital platforms worldwide.
