Opposition Spokesperson on National Security, Senator Peter Bunting is again calling for more resources to be allocated to the security forces to fight crime.

His renewed call comes in the wake of a surge in murders.

On Saturday (May 28), 9 people were shot, 1 fatally on Donmair Close in Kingston, while four others were shot, 2 fatally in Duncans, Trelawny.

A man was also stabbed to death in Portland, yesterday.

Speaking with IRIE F-M news, Mr. Bunting expressed concern about the increasing murders.

He is calling for additional crime-fighting resources.
