by May 31st, 2022

The attorney representing one of the accused persons, in the Clansman One Don gang trial, said his client is happy with the court’s decision to free him, on Tuesday.

Dwayne Salmon, otherwise called ‘Chemist’, was ordered released after the prosecution said it did not have sufficient evidence against him.

Defense Lawyer, Kemar Robinson explained to Irie FM news, that salmon had initially faced 2 counts, but one was later dropped.

Robinson said an attempt by the prosecution, to lay a new count against his client on Tuesday, was rejected.

He said his client is in good spirits.

Salmon is the fifth person to be freed by the court.

Last Thursday, 4 others were released.

They are Owen Ormsby, Damaine Elleston, Rushane Williams, and Renaldo Hylton,

Reputed leader of the Clansman One Don gang, Andre  Blackman Bryan, along with over 30 co-accused persons, went on trial in the home circuit court, in September last year.

They are charged with various offences, under the anti gang legislation.

Defense lawyers are now making no case submissions in court, in a bid to have more accused persons, freed.
