Jamaica records 227 new Covid-19 cases

Jamaica has recorded 227 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the country’s case count, to 139, 683.

Of the new cases 147 are females, and 80 are males.

They range in age from 3 months to 91 years.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 86 followed by St. James with 45.

The positivity rate is 32.3 per cent.

Meantime, 140 people are hospitalized with the virus, among them 35 are moderately ill, 11 are severely ill and 4 are critically ill.

156 more people have recovered from the virus.
