Two children are among seven people who have been left homeless, after a fire gutted their homes in Old Harbour St. Catherine this morning (June 9).

It was reported that the fire started at around 2:40 AM.

Public Relations Officer for the Jamaica Fire Brigade Emilio Ebanks told IRIE F-M news that the fire began at a three-bedroom house and then spread to another dwelling.

Mr Ebanks said investigators are trying to ascertain the cause of the fire.
