Opposition leader Mark Golding has called for the government to give an account for the money it spent in the recent campaign for senator Kamina Johnson-Smith to be elected as Commonwealth General Secretary.
His comment comes on the heels of Mrs Johnson-Smith losing her bid in the election.
She challenged baroness Patricia Scotland, but lost in a 27 to 24 vote in Kigali Rwanda on Friday.
Speaking at a PNP Divisional Conference in Papine yesterday Mr Golding re–iterated his opposition to Johnson-Smith’s candidature while describing it as waste of tax-payers’ money.
He reiterated that the move by the government was misguided and bad for the economy.
