by June 30th, 2022

Hundreds of people gathered last night at the home of the family brutally killed in Clarendon, as they sought solace in prayer, song, and fellowship, during a candlelight vigil.

Relatives of the slain woman and her 4 children were among those gathered, taking comfort in the support of other residents of the Chapelton community, and strangers who shared in their grief.

Speaking at the vigil, head of the Clarendon police Senior Superintendent (SSP) Glenford Miller urged the residents to support the grieving relatives.

Thirty-one-year-old Kimeisha Wright, and her four children – 15-year-old Kimanda Smith, 10-year-old Shara-lee Smith, 5-year-old Rafaella Smith, and 23-month-old Kishawn Henry, were found dead on the morning of June 21.

Their cousin, 23-year-old Rushane Barnett has been charged in relation to their deaths.
