Five more persons are to be extradited to the United States of America to stand trial for their alleged involvement in lottery scamming activities, later this week.

Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson made the announcement while speaking at a press briefing today (July 5).

He said the move is to highlight the police’s continued collaboration with international security forces, in the fight against lottery scamming.

Commissioner Anderson said the police continue to work with international partners to stem lottery scamming, as the illegal activity is contributing heavily to crime in the country.

He said it is one source of funding for gangs and the criminal underworld.
