There was traffic gridlock in Half Way Tree, St. Andrew following a shooting incident, this afternoon (July 18).

The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM confirmed that a man was shot by a cop shortly after 1pm.

Due to the incident, a section of the roadway was cordoned off.

This resulted in traffic pile-up along Eastwood Park Road, Constant Spring Road and Derrymore Road.
