The National Irrigation Commission Limited, NIC, said customers in areas affected by the effluent spill should expect a return to regular water supply within the next 12 hours.

This after the company resumed supply to the Rio Cobre Irrigation System in St. Catherine, yesterday (August 5).

Services were disrupted following an effluent spill in the river, last week.

The NIC said it received communication from the St. Catherine Health Department to proceed with the resumption of irrigation services.
