The Morant Bay Police seized a firearm and three rounds of ammunition in Barking Lodge, Morant Bay, St. Thomas on Friday, December 18.

Reports are that about 7:45 p.m. a Police team was on patrol when they observed two men acting suspiciously. The officers accosted the men and conducted a search, which

revealed one Jennings 9 mm semi-automatic pistol with three 9 mm rounds. Both men were subsequently taken into custody.

One of the men, 34-year-old Orace Brisset of Brownsman Hill, St. Thomas was charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition. He is scheduled to appear before the

Morant Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court on Monday, December 21, 2015.

The identity of the other man is being withheld pending further investigation.
