As the country prepares for the possible impact of a weather system starting this weekend, the education ministry has instructed schools used as shelters to end classes at 12:30 PM.

One high school principal told Irie Fm news on Friday morning that this was communicated during a meeting of principals on Friday.

Its understood that administrators are to use the time to prepare their facilities.
