Police seized over 1000 pounds of cocaine during an operation at the Ian Fleming International Airport in St. Mary, yesterday (September 24).

The drug has a street value of approximately 3.8 billion dollars.

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.

Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Crime and Security, Fitz Bailey said the operation was conducted by local police in partnership with United States law enforcement agents, between 2 and 8 p-m.
