A 16-year-old girl is among thirteen people who were arrested and charged during a police operation in Ocho Rios St. Ann, yesterday (September 30).

The teen who is from St. Mary, has been charged for indecent language.

The other 12 accused, 11 of whom are from St. Ann, have been charged for possession of an offensive weapon, robbery, illegal vending and smoking in a public place.

Reports are that between 10 and 3 pm, a public order operation was carried out in the town, which resulted in the seizure of six offensive weapons, a quantity of ganja, and a quantity of ground provisions, including 3 dozen coconuts and 18 pounds of yam.

The police say four stalls and two hand carts were also destroyed during the operation.
