Wint seeks legal advice from KD Knight

Councillor of the Point Hill Division in the St Catherine Parish Council Devon Wint has retained the services of Queens Council KD Knight to represent his interest .

Wint had contested the Jamaica Labour Party’s selection process for the West Central St Catherine constituency after sitting MP Dr Kenneth Baugh stated his intention to retire from representational politics.

Wint went up against Dr Christopher Tufton

Wint defeated Dr Tufton by 13 votes for the right to be the party’s standard bearer for the seat.

The hierarchy of the party however opted to hand the seat over to Dr Christopher Tufton after allegations of impropriety on the part of Wint began to surface.

Wint maintained his innocence throughout that the police later stated that there was no evidence against the Councillor.

Mr Wint has reportedly had dialogue with the noted attorney in view of seeking redress in relation to statements sent out by the Jamaica Labour Party regarding the allegations against him.
