“Talk it out, don’t shoot it out…”

That was the plea made yesterday (October 27) by a group of concerned Westmoreland citizens, who conducted a peace march through some violence-prone communities in the parish capital, Savanna La Mar.

The event was organized by the Westmoreland Neighbourhood Watch, with support from the police, the Parish Custos and local churches.

Pastor at the Ark of the Covenant Holy Trinity Church, Bishop Oneil Russell, called on young people to find peaceful, amicable solutions to conflicts, instead of resorting to violence.
