The Global Services Sector contributes approximately 890 million US dollars to the Jamaican economy, annually.

That’s according to president of the Global Services Association of Jamaica, GSAJ, Anand Biradar.

He made the announcement while at the GSAJ‘s President’s Forum in St Ann, Thursday.

The forum was held under the theme “Inclusive Growth: imperatives for growth and rural development”.

Mr Biradar noted that the earnings highlight the significant role played by the sector, and why it should be expanded.

Mr Biradar said establishment of global services in rural communities is beneficial to the development of these areas.
