Three people are dead and 15 others have been hospitalised, following a 2 vehicle collision along the Melrose Hill bypass, in Manchester this morning.
The identities of those killed have not been released.
Reports are that about 11:00 a.m, a Toyota wish motorcar, operated as a taxi, was being driven along the Melrose Hill bypass, when it collided with a minibus going in the opposite direction.
It’s reported that the bus was transporting workers attached to the highway construction project.
The injured persons were rushed to hospital where 2 men and a woman were pronounced dead.
Member of Parliament for Manchester Central Rhoda Crawford described the accident, as a tragedy.
She expressed hope that the injured persons will recover quickly.
