An elderly woman perished in a fire at her home in Go Piece Lane, Salt Spring, St. James, this morning (December 2).

She has been identified as 90-year-old Ida-mae White.

Police reports are that the fire started at about 9am.

Public Relations Officer at the Fire Brigade, Emilio Ebanks told Irie FM News that firefighters responded to the blaze, and white’s charred remains were found among the rubble.
