Local Government Minister, Desmond McKenzie says there has been no shooting incident in the Kingston Western Division for the past three weeks.

The division is among several areas where a state of emergency has been implemented.

Mr McKenzie, who was speaking at a tree lighting ceremony in Kingston last evening (December 20), said he is grateful for the statistic, as the country has been plagued by crime.

He said he is hoping that this trend will continue.
