12 hours after the declaration of a State of Emergency in Kingston Central, the Jamaica Defence Force, JDF is reporting that a pistol and several rounds of ammunition have been seized.

The SOE in Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Ann, Clarendon, St. Catherine, Hanover, St. James, and Westmoreland, took effect at midnight.

According to the JDF, a Smith and Wesson pistol, one 9 millimetre magazine, 35 rounds of ammunition and a bag of a white powdered substance resembling cocaine were found during a snap raid in Kingston Central following the declaration of the SOEs, earlier today (December 28).

Investigations continue.
