A three-year-old boy has died from injuries sustained, when a metal gate reportedly fell on him, while he was at a house in New Market Oval, in Westmoreland on Tuesday.

He has been identified as Liam Williams of new harbour village in St. Catherine.

Reports from the police are that at about 11:30 a.m., Liam and other children were playing in the yard, when the metal gate fell on top of him.

Family members reportedly rushed to his aid, and assisted him to the hospital, where he died while being treated.

The Savanna-La-mar police are investigating the incident.
