President of the Incorporated Master Builders Association Lenworth Kelly expects the construction sector to continue to do well this year.

Since the onset of the COVID pandemic, construction has been one of the more resilient sectors in the country.

Speaking with IRIE FM news, Mr Kelly said the sector performed reasonably well in 2022 and this trend should spill over into 2023.

Mr Kelly expressed hope for the continued decrease in the prices of lumber and other essential construction materials.

Meantime, he does not want to see a continued decline in the construction of some projects.
