The Jamaican netballers get ready for Pre-season Suncorp Super League tournament in Australia

The Jamaican netballers showcasing their skills in the Suncorp Super League in Australia will all congregate along with their respective teams at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Center in Queensland.

This for the 2023 edition of the league’s official pre-season tournament…….the Suncorp team girls cup.

The three-day event………. scheduled to run from February 24 to 26, will be contested by the eight Suncorp Super netball teams including defending champions west coast fever which include reigning mvp Jhaniele Fowler.

teams will compete in a round-robin style format, eventually leading to a grand final between the two highest ranked teams in each pool on the final day.

Other Jamaicans down to be in action includes shimona nelson and Jodi-Ann Ward for Collingwood Magpies, Kadie-Ann Dehaney…..Sunshine Coast Lightning and Shamera Sterling and Latanya Wilson who will both suit for the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

The competition gets underway with Fowler taking centre-court for the Fever against an NSW Swifts team that could include Romelda Aiken who was offered a training partner contract last year after her 14-year stint with the Queensland Firebirds ended in controversial fashion.
