A member of the Jamaica Defense Force  was shot and killed at Rocky Road, Papine, St. Andrew, Wednesday evening.

Dead is 46 year-old Dane Simon, from Spanish Town, in St. Catherine.

Reports are that at about 9:45pm, passers-by stumbled upon the soldier in a Toyota Probox motor car and alerted the police.

On the arrival of the lawmen, He was seen suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at hospital.
