The estimated cost for the rehabilitation work being done at the Cornwall Regional Hospital in St. James has been increased to 14.1 billion dollars.

The revelation was made by Project Manager, Vivian Gordon during a press conference hosted by the Ministry of Health and Wellness this morning (March 7).

According to Mr. Gordon, the initial 10.5 billion dollars previously announced, had to be adjusted to complete phase three of the project.

He said the implementation of infection, prevention and control finishes, and the improvement of site services will be done in phase 3.
