Gov’t and disgruntled Met Service employees arrive at temporary solution

The Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation and the management of the Norman Manley International Airport have arrived at a temporary solution, for staff employed to the Met Service, who work at the airport.

 

The parties met at 1: 00 today (March 20), to address concerns of the Met office workers, who have been restive, after being relocated to what they have described as an unsatisfactory work environment.

 

The workers’ engaged in recent industrial action, as they registered their discontent, over the relocation.

 

Minister with Responsibility for the Environment and Climate Change, Matthew Samuda, told Irie FM News, that the parties were able to arrive at mutual temporary solution, that will serve for the next 2 months, as they continue, to work on a long term resolution.
