Schools across the nation are operating smoothly so far, even as teachers remain frustrated about how salary payments are being handled.

Several teachers have not yet received their March salaries and retroactive payments due to anomalies, and despite multiple assurances from the Government that the problem is being addressed.

The situation has caused educators to become restive.

Yesterday (March 28), The Jamaica Teachers’ Association warned that it could not guarantee normality in public schools today.

However, checks made by IRIE FM reveal that up to news time, teachers have been showing up to work.
