Prime Minister Andrew Holness has sought to assure that the runway expansion project being undertaken at the SANGSTER International Airport in Montego Bay, St James will prove fruitful to all Jamaicans and not just those who travel.

His assurance follows another US$70 million investment towards a transformation project at the airport bringing the total investment to US$140 million.

Mr Holness, who was speaking during a tour of the airport at the weekend, explained that the expected revenue from boosting the airport’s capabilities, will not only enhance tourism but increase the Government’s ability to improve in areas that matter most to citizens.

These, he said, include education, health, community roadways and water supply.
