Police report continued reduction in crimes

Jamaica continues to see a reduction in major crimes, so far this year.

Commissioner of Police, Major General Antony Anderson, says crimes were down by 22%, for the first quarter, of the year.

He notes that murders were down by 21%, while shootings declined by 13%.

Commissioner Anderson says gang related murders went down, while murders from inter-personal conflicts, went up.
