Former Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller is said to be doing well in the hospital.
The Peoples National Party PNP issued a statement Friday afternoon, confirming that the former party president has been admitted to a hospital for non-emergency care.
The party says she is being supported by a capable medical team and her loved ones.
The PNP on behalf of her family, expressed sincere gratitude for the prayers and well wishes, stating that it is praying for good health and a speedy recovery.
