The Health Ministry says more than two thousand permanent posts will be created for doctors in the public health sector.

Portfolio Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton made the announcement in his contribution to the Sectoral Debate in Parliament, yesterday.

He said the move is the largest human resource investment in the medical workforce by any administration.

Dr. Tufton noted that this will lead to improved patient care across the public health system.
